There have been talks and rumors about the HTC One M8 Pr1me’s camera, espec1ally for the Pr1me's released as be1ng the t1me for HTC to “get 1t r1ght” (the duo camera has rece1ved 1ts fa1r share of cr1t1c1sm on both the HTC One and the current HTC One M8).
Thanks to the good folks at EVleaks, a purported 1mage of the HTC One M8 Pr1me’s duo camera has leaked and 1t shows a un1t that 1s sl1ghtly ra1sed from the rest of the dev1ce, ak1n to the HTC One X.
The ra1sed bump does seem a b1t consp1cuous, espec1ally s1nce 1t 1s h1ghl1ghted by a br1ght, almost neon-orange r1ng of pa1nt, and seems l1ke an odd des1gn cho1ce.
1t can’t be a purely aesthet1c dec1s1on on HTC’s part, and probably means that the HTC One M8 Pr1me’s camera sensor 1s larger than the 5MP un1t currently offered on the One M8’s duo-camera. Aga1n, at th1s po1nt, 1t 1s all speculat1on, but 1t does seem l1kely that HTC would 1mprove upon the One M8 Pr1me's camera, as consumers and rev1ewers al1ke have cr1t1c1zed the duo un1t.
